Item description 1 plant (1 year old) in 9x9cm pot, established in our special compost mix with slow release plant food in an injection moulded, strong, reusable plastic pot which won’t break during shipping and afterwards pot is covered with special media to the very top and then wrapped therefore compost is securely locked during postage and roots won’t be disturbed plant height is 5-10cm, as seen on third picture (similar) you will also receive our special GROWING KIT with: slow release plant food (for 6 months) for the next growing season (no need of extra food this year) a plant holder stick to keep the stem upright and a zip tie to attach the stem to the stick full growing instructions including the application of the food other info: seeds were sown in February 2010 seeds are from Central Europe, mother plant grows on alkaline soil in continental climate with some mediterranean influence (cold winters and hot, dry summers) plants were grown in unheated glasshouse, with indoor temperature reached as low as -7 C last winter 

Plant characteristics

Lovely evergreen shrub with dark green leaves, also known as the Sweet Box. This plant produces delicate flowers between December and February with a powerful honey-like fragrance. The heady perfume carries some distance – very welcome in the drab days of winter. They are easy to grow, somewhat drought tolerant and, being fairly low growing at 60-80cm, they even make good shrubs for patio pots where the fragrance can savoured. Also superb as specimen plants, ground cover or low hedges when established. Can be pruned.
